We are not giving up! Ukraine cannot afford for us to give up! Please keep following for a public demonstration coming up! And please follow all of our post-election steps!
The first thing we can do is call, email, try whatever method of contacting your representatives.
The idea is to try to contact all of them, and if possible, ask them to try and send the message up the chain of their party. Your Alderman probably can’t reach Biden or Trump, but your Governer or Senator/Congressperson probably can, and your Alderman may be able to reach your Governer/Senator/Congressperson.
The message should be the same no matter who you reach, and for all our members and anyone following these posts it is probably true:
We are desperate and we are afraid, we need their help to prevent the (cultural) genocide of our (or our parents, or our grandparents) peoples, our representatives are the only ones who can help us because even if they can’t make these decisions, our plea cannot be heard by the people making these decisions without them.
We as Americans who understand Russia understand that Putin cannot be given a “win”, or he will keep going. We as the people who understand Russia are terrified that any deal without a strong enforcement mechanism to keep Putin from re-invading later is just allowing Putin to recover and come back stronger to take Kyiv and, while setting his eyes further west, also severely punish the Ukrainian people for resisting. Through all the things we’ve seen the Russian army do to innocent civilians and disarmed POW’s already; mass killings, mass rape, mass castrations, forced conscription, kidnapping children and forcing them to be raised as Russian, and many more war crimes and acts of cultural genocide to ensure that if Russia wins “Ukrainian” is no longer an identity that can ever again stand up to Russia and declare itself different from “Russian”.
We are not all Ukrainian American, we don’t need to be Ukrainian American to oppose this, once it happens all Americans will oppose it. We are just those Americans who understand Russia well enough to see it coming.
Try your best to tailor your message to whoever you are talking to, of course be honest as we always are but emphasize that Democrats can help us by fronting A LOT of aid to Ukraine right now, and that they will keep our support into the next election if they accomplish this and it works to hold Kyiv or even to give Ukraine an equal negotiating position regardless of what the U.S. continues to do. This could also be accomplished by making some agreement where Europe makes up for any aid we do not continue. Emphasize that we know that anything they can do is limited by time, but they can counteract that by bold action. Biden has been a great ally to Ukraine but also too afraid of our “escalation” in the face of repeated and extreme escalation by Putin. For Biden’s legacy and to be remembered for something beyond being a “transition away from Trump” candidate who was succeeded by Trump. Now is the time for bold action that makes him remembered for something else. Perhaps seen by future Democrats as the man who preemptively prevented some of Trumps worst impulses, at home and abroad and by future Republicans as giving Trump the best possible negotiating position as a final act of reaching across the aisle. The key here is that this does not defy the coming administration, simply give the Ukrainians enough up front, including remove all restrictions, will give Trump a better negotiating position when he takes office.
And emphasize that Republicans can continue aid going forward and MAKE A FAIR DEAL. We believe in Trump’s Deal Making Capacity and believe he can either convince Russia to pull back and cede significant land back to Ukraine along with our continued arming of Ukraine in exchange for a guarantee that Ukraine will not join NATO for ___ years or until the land dispute with Russia is resolved. (If you believe we provoked this war through NATO expansion, we believe you are wrong, but if you are right Russia should surely gladly accept this deal). Or, alternatively, allow both Russia and Ukraine to continue to occupy the land that they’ve taken (without official recognition) in exchange for allowing Ukraine to join NATO or re-nuclearize. A fair deal is one in which each side loses something and each side gains something, ideally, it is one that would be agreed to by our ALLY Ukraine without any coercion from the U.S. If Ukraine cedes land but does not gain any security guarantee, this means Russia gained everything it could have possibly wanted from the deal, and it will learn the lesson from this invasion that “Invade your neighbors for land, it works!”.
Emphasize that as of now we believe Trump is one of the best deal makers in history, and that to live up to that reputation he should get a deal that no one else could get. Anyone, even a small child, could give Russia everything it wants and threaten to cut off Ukraine if they don’t agree to it. A truly great deal maker would make a fair deal and get Russia to agree to things that no one thought they ever would. If Trump can get the Russians to concede so much that Ukraine is exited to sign, that given an uncoerced choice the Ukrainian people would choose to sign rather than continue to fight, then we will officially recognize that we were wrong to endorse Harris and honor Trump along with the other presidents who were great for NREENCA peoples on our site and someday maybe in our museums (if we can build to that in the future as intended). While Trump can’t run again as it would be his third term, it would go a long way towards us endorsing whoever the Republicans run next.
AT BEAR MINIMUM PLEASE: If our message can reach Donald Trump, we need to plead to him to please not force Zelenskyy to officially recognize Russia’s stolen land or cede Ukrainian land which Ukraine currently holds and to please not remove the Sanctions on Russia. Trump is smart enough to understand that forcing Zelenskyy to officially recognize that the land Russia stole is “officially Russian” or evacuating and giving up a new city that the Russians never took, or that Ukrainians took back will cause a legitimacy crisis inside of Ukraine where Zelenskyy will lose the mandate of his population, possibly causing another revolution but certainly causing a weakening of Ukraine. This is why Russia might push so hard for it; it is a trick that we know Trump is smart enough not to fall for. And MOST IMPORTANTLY; whatever deal which is made, removing sanctions and allowing Russia’s economy to recover will make it much more dangerous to everyone. Maybe explain to him that Russia is in a weak economic position and that we can make sure that America doesn’t get ripped off by them anymore. The more we hurt them before reopening trade (if you ever want to let them steal from America again) the better negotiating position we are in. If we keep the sanctions as long as possible then we are in the very best negotiating position so that when we eventually let them back, they will accept extreme tariffs without retaliation. The sanctions on Russia will also keep them from competing with U.S. oil as we “Drill Baby Drill”.
The only way it should be possible for sanctions to be removed against Russia which would not be a terrible deal for the U.S. would be if Russia cedes back 100% of the land it holds in Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova (Which would make Trump a legend of historic proportions in the eyes of other countries and our own) and it’s on some sort of slow and controlled schedule which allows American Oil, Gas, and American Industries to take much of the place Russia used to long term. This is the most important in a way because it can make us richer in the long term and keep them from crossing us again.
When speaking with a Republican representative emphasize that Trump always represented us who understand Russia with uncertainty, high risk but possibly high reward. And that we recognize that Biden was too weak and too soft to properly give the Ukrainians what they needed, he would give artillery but not enough shells and would place unfair restrictions on how Ukraine used our weapons that gave Russia the opportunity to keep their artillery just outside the range Ukraine was allowed to hit. Essentially it took the existing underdog and forced one hand behind their back, and the Ukrainians preferred to fight like that because Russia didn’t really want to negotiate unless it was granted everything it wants. While we are terrified that Trump might give Russia everything it wants, we are also hopeful, that maybe he can be stronger than Biden, maybe he can force the Russians to make an actual deal, and if they won’t budge, then maybe he can actually untie Ukraine’s other hand to teach them a lesson.
Russian state media which runs NOTHING without Putin’s personal approval, “congratulated” Donald Trump on his win by showing naked pictures of Melania on prime time, to tens of millions of viewers. Putin may try and flatter his way out of this, saying something like “in our culture this is a great compliment we are simply saying she is beautiful”. But as the people who understand that culture, please listen to us when we say that he is lying through his teeth. Russia is a more sexually conservative culture than the U.S. by a lot, they 100% see that as a form of cuckoldry, and they are mocking President Trump. You can see in on the snickers of the hosts face when they present the pictures. They may lie to his face, because they are too cowardly to own what they say/do and can only fight the U.S. through trickery and deceit, but they did that to show their own people: “Look, we are cucking the most powerful man in the world, and we will receive no consequences, look at how in control we are”. Emphasize that Trump must give them some consequences to at least bring them in line from personally attacking him.
We will forever be grateful to whoever helps in any way to prevent the worst possible outcome, and we will highlight as much as possible their efforts.
(If anyone agrees especially if they give you a follow up to explain what they did please email us their name and how they helped, and we will add a page of people who helped that we are thankful for so that all of our members and people checking our site can see and continue to support them).
We believe that if our message is not heard then things will get really bad in Eastern Europe and even the American’s who most fully fell for Russian Propaganda will realize they’ve been duped.
You can help prevent that terrible outcome and tell your representatives that; even if they try and the worst happens anyway, many more people will be looking to us to understand what happened, and it will really help their electoral chances if we have glowing things to say about them.
No matter what, we the members and followers of the ANHA, need to keep fighting. Ukraine fought for all of us, now it’s time, in a different way, to fight for them.
We do not shrink and shrivel and lose hope, we all fight to our very last breath!
Thank you for doing your part,
